VMware vCloud Air Disaster Recovery offers a new approach to emergency recovery of the IT infrastructure from the 'cloud’ by putting in place a unified protection of all the resources inside or outside an enterprise using a single cloud control console and cloud services.

One of the service’s key innovations (Disaster Recovery OnDemand) represents a payment option for the real capacity amounts consumed, only. Another new service, Site Recovery Manager Air, will provide the vCloud Air Disaster Recovery users with broader opportunities related development, testing or implementation management, as well as to drafting business continuity plans or post-disaster recovery plans.

Site Recovery Manager Air will make provisions for a fast and manageable recovery of the applications and DPCs which operate on several virtual machines.
