The conclusion is clear: digital is becoming a strategic business priority. So, if in 2012-2014 only 1-2% of top managers called it a priority area, then in 2021 - already 20%.

At the same time, inevitable confusion has arisen around the various terms associated with the transition to digital ways of doing business. Let's deal with the basic concepts of the "digital revolution" taking place before our eyes.
So:
- Digitization. This term means the transfer of information on various media from an “analog” format to a digital one in order to be able to further use it in digital processes. There are many examples of digitization - for example, retroconversion or scanning and digitization of huge archives of paper documents accumulated at each enterprise - orders, financial documents, drawings, reports, etc. Citros solutions allow you to create digital archives for various purposes: personnel, financial, technological, archives of client dossiers, etc.
- Digitalisation. Here we are talking about the formation of digital or digitalized (when not the whole process is completely digital) business processes. Digitalization usually does not affect the existing business model, but accelerates, automates and optimizes existing processes. For example, in the BOSS HRM/HCM platform, already in the basic configuration, there are built-in process-level mechanisms (BPM-inside) that support digital HR tasks: managing vacations, business trips, time off, work on weekends and holidays, etc. At the same time, " process designer" allows the customer to gradually automate the entire process layer in the field of personnel management in any organization.
- Digital transformation (Digital transformation). This term implies the creation of new business models, a new class of products / services, new business processes through digital technologies. For example, with the help of AI, fundamentally new customer support models are being formed. And with the help of the Preferentum technology, a system of legal examination of various documents has been implemented and is successfully operating, which allows, without the participation of a lawyer, to highlight “problematic” moments and risk zones in contracts.
