Adobe Creative Cloud purchase plans are divided into two categories: K-12 (primary and secondary education) and HED (higher and additional education).
Who do we 100% include in these segments?
Special prices for the K-12 segment apply only to the full Adobe Creative Cloud package. Individual products, such as Photoshop, are sold at higher education prices. K-12 license pricing is independent of quantity. Possible purchase terms: 1/2/3/4 years.
Special prices for the HED segment apply to both the full Adobe Creative Cloud package and individual products, such as Audition or Premiere Pro. HED license pricing depends on quantity. Possible purchase terms: 1/2/3/4 years.
Each institution must have a valid educational license.
There are two types of licenses: Named and Shared Device. Let’s explore the differences.
Shared Device Licenses:
- Each student logs in with their individual account. No shared login.
- The license is tied to a computer. It cannot be taken home or installed on a personal computer.
- No storage or online services are provided.
- Only the full Creative Cloud package can be installed. Individual apps cannot be tied to devices.
- Online authorization is required every 12 hours.
Named User Licenses:
- Can be used on personal devices.
- You can install either the full Creative Cloud package or individual apps.
- The license is tied to the user and their Adobe ID (email). Storage and online services are included. Licenses can easily be reassigned via a CSV file.
- The license can be installed on two computers but cannot be used simultaneously.
- Online authorization is required every 30 days.
