The conference “Theory and Practice of E-document Workflow — on the Way to Digital Transformation” Took Place in Baku on November, 25. The event was dedicated to the actual issues of document workflow and management automation. The reports and round tables were dedicated to such actual trends of the e-workflow system, as customization of the solutions for specific business demands and their personalization to meet the user needs.
The goal of the event was to show the opportunities of building the corporate e-workflow system and business processes automation. The representatives of the leading enterprises of the country — financial and governmental institutions, project institutes and construction companies, education institutions, manufacturing and commercial enterprises attended the conference.
The first part of the conference was dedicated to defining the electronic document workflow tasks and to the role of ECM as an important component of the unified corporate information environment. Elshan Babayev, Head of the Consulting and Services department of Softline, told the participants about the main aspects and criteria that should be taken into consideration when selecting the corporate ECM system. He also summarized the results of a survey dedicated to the analysis of document management in various industries, outlined the possible risks caused by non-systemic work with documents.

Rashad Inbragimov, Director of the Administrative Division at Express Bank, told about the successful implementation of the e-document workflow system in Express Bank and shared his five-year experience and impressions from working with an ECM system. "The current economic situation is far from simple, so businesses place strict but justified requirements to software. The expectations from IT solutions are growing, and the goal of many IT systems now is to automate business processes and give higher personal responsibility to employees. In our opinion, this approach will ensure higher business process productivity in the long term," — says Rashad Ibragimov.
